I went to the University of Houston and majored in Political Science; however, I always loved math. I put myself through college while also working 2 jobs during the day and attending college at night. When I was 19, I wanted to start investing in my 401k and the advisor handling the group didn't want to help me because I didn't have any assets. Therefore, I taught myself and received my Series 6 (Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Representative) on July, 22, 1994, shortly after my 20th birthday. I also received my Series 26 (Investment Company Products/Varable Contracts Principal Examination) on November 1st, 1994. Both held through LPL Financial. From then on, I loved the financial market industry and decided not to go into Law. While I had an unfavorable experience, I decided that I would help anyone, even those just starting to invest. I do not want anyone to feel the same way I did when I was just beginning. That's why I don't have a minimum asset size to assist others.
